The Challenge

MESPL, a Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing engineering company operating in Sri Lanka, had a website that was functionally invisible on Google. Despite offering specialised engineering services in a market with limited competition, they weren’t ranking for any relevant search terms — meaning potential clients searching for MEP services in Sri Lanka were finding competitors instead.

The website had never been optimised for search engines, had no keyword strategy, and was missing basic technical SEO elements that search engines need to properly index and rank pages.

Our Approach

We started with a comprehensive technical and on-page SEO audit, identifying issues with page structure, meta data, heading hierarchy, image optimisation, and internal linking. We then developed a keyword strategy targeting the specific search terms that decision-makers in Sri Lanka’s construction and development industry use when looking for MEP engineering partners.

The implementation covered on-page optimisation across all service pages, technical fixes for crawlability and indexing, content recommendations to target high-value keywords, and local SEO setup to capture geographically relevant searches. We delivered both a client-facing progress report and an internal implementation checklist to ensure all recommendations were executed systematically.
